IBC offers classes during four terms:
Fall term - late August through mid-December
January term - early January (two weeks)
Spring term - mid-January through mid-May
Summer term - mid-May (two weeks)
Classes meet throughout the week starting at 7:30 am and finishing at 1:50 pm. IBC also offers several courses on Monday and Tuesday evenings during the spring and fall semesters. January and summer term classes last from 2-4 hours per day and provide the same amount of instruction and credit hours as a regular 15-week class. Some courses are not offered every year, and some are only offered during the two-week January term which occurs between the regular semesters.
The summer extension program is designed to provide fieldwork and is required of every student who expects to re-enroll at IBC for the following fall semester. The credits earned are included in the required hours for the major. The summer extension program consists of a daily Bible and professional reading schedule and a practical assignment in a fundamental ministry. Each student’s program is individually tailored. This summer program is intended to encourage a summer "jump" rather than a possible slump.
