Music Camp

Arrival

Registration and Check-In is Monday, July 18, from 9:00–10:00 a.m. in the church foyer.

Requirements/Placement Auditions

• Piano and string campers should have a minimum of two years experience.
• Placement auditions for ensembles and private instruction will be held on Monday morning. Campers will be asked to sightread and perform a portion of a prepared solo or etude.

Music

All campers should bring both classical and sacred music they are currently working on for use in placement auditions, study in lessons, and performance in recitals.

Lodging and Meals

• Campers will be housed on-campus in Singleton Hall, our residence hall.
• Staff counselors will live with the campers, providing supervision and spiritual guidance throughout the week.
• Meals are served in the campus cafeteria.

Grades 4–6 String Campers

• String campers in grades 4–6 will attend camp from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Lunch is provided.
• String campers in grades 4–6 will spend a full day at camp on Friday. They will not go home before the 7:00 p.m. Grand Finale Concert. Dinner will be provided.
• For string campers in grades 4–6 attending Music Camp, early arrival (7:30–8:30 a.m.) and late-stay (4:30–6:00 p.m.) childcare is available on campus through Summer Enrichment. Payment arrangements will be made through Summer Enrichment. The camper must enroll in Summer Enrichment to participate.
• String campers in grades 4–6 will attend Discover Music! Camp for Kids from 8:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and Music Camp from 12:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. String campers do not need to register separately for Discover Music! Camp for Kids.

Departure

Camp will officially end after the Grand Finale Concert on Friday evening.
