Tiffany Davis Brock

December 5, 1975 - December 1, 2010

"When you understand who God is and clearly see who you are, then you are able to respond in complete surrender to God."

These words from the liner notes of her CD "At His Feet" summarize Tiffany Davis Brock’s life and ministry. Being with Tiffany for any period of time left no doubt in anyone’s mind that her life, her goals, and her future had indeed been placed at His feet.

Growing up on a Southeastern Colorado cattle ranch was a life forming time where Tiffany learned from her parents the importance of loving God, the value of a hard work ethic, and the necessity of persistence through physical adversity. Her parents understood the value of music, and Tiffany started taking piano lessons at the age of five. By the end of her high school years, her parents drove Tiffany to Colorado Springs to take piano and viola lessons each week. Accepting Christ when she was seven, Tiffany wanted to use her life for the Lord in whatever area He desired. In 1993, she left home for Bob Jones University where she graduated with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Music Education. In 1997, she married David Brock, President of International Baptist College.

In 2009, Tiffany completed a Master’s in Collaborative Piano at Arizona State University. Her desire to use the talent and training God had given her enabled her to assist International Baptist College in starting its church music program, training young people to serve the Lord in piano and accompanying.

Throughout her time in the Phoenix area, Tiffany developed many relationships in the community as an accompanist in studios and for instrumentalists, choirs, soloists, and schools. One of Tiffany’s favorite "gigs" was her year-and-a-half long tenure with the Chandler Children’s Choir.

In the last days of her life, many of Tiffany’s friends reminisced with fondness and grief, yet mostly joy, of the years during which God had so graciously shared Tiffany with them. Friends remarked, “She taught me how to be a good wife”; “She was talented beyond what many of us ever knew”; and “What a heritage she leaves behind, not just for right now but for many years to come.”

Her last hours with friends and family were filled with reading the Psalms and enjoying Christ-honoring music. As she had always done, she continued to encourage others even through the very end; in fact, she reminded some close friends just before they said goodbye, “I’ll see you soon.” Pastor Brock and Tiffany consistently encouraged each other, their families, and their friends with “God is good!” and “Hope in God.” We look forward to the day when we will receive another wink and smile of greeting from our dear friend.

Tiffany Davis Brock Memorial Fund

Tiffany poured her life into the college students of International Baptist College and Tri-City Baptist Church. In her memory, the new music wing of Tri-City Baptist Church will be renamed the Tiffany Davis Brock Music Wing. When told of this honor shortly before her death, Tiffany expressed a strong desire that the first new item be an auditorium grand piano for congregational worship. International Baptist College is establishing the Tiffany Davis Brock Memorial Fund to serve as the conduit to raise the remaining $125,000 needed for IBC's Academic Building and the new piano.

Our prayer is that the music wing and the new building will serve as a constant memorial of a life lived “At His Feet.”
