Youth Event - March 19, 2009

On Thursday, March 19 approximately 65 teens, adults, and college kids attended a youth event at the US Airways Center. We played basketball on the Phoenix Suns' practice court, then watched the Road Runners hockey team beat the Alaska Aces 3-1. After the game we played soccer on the ice. Everyone had a great time, but the event wasn't just for fun; it was designed to give our teens and college kids an opportunity to practice personal evangelism. We invited teens from the area to join us for free and our young people talked to them as well as people outside of our group. Some even went over to the Alaska Aces side to reach out! One of those families let their kids join us for the ice time after the game and promised to visit us at Tri-City the next time they are in town. God is certainly working in the hearts of our young people!
